R. B. was born on January 29th, 1895 in Coosa Co., AL.¹ R. B.'s father was John Perry Dobson and his mother was Arsula Antinet McEwen. His paternal grandparents were Rainer B. Dobson and Harriet Ann Carlisle; his maternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears. He had three brothers and two sisters, named George McEwen, Frank Perry, Marion, Norma and Myrtle. He died at the age of 1 on December 22nd, 1896 in Coosa Co., AL.¹
