She was the daughter of John Brown and moved from Rowan Co. NC to Putnam
Co., Ga. c 1792.
Laura: The DAR Library in Washington, DC has a book on its list that may
help you: "Genealogy of the Brown family of Prince William Co., VA." by
James Edgar Brown. The book was published by Shenandoah Publlishing
House, 1930, Strasburg, VA (this book reports on the Brown family and
groups of families allied to them by marriage, including the Buckners. It
may be possible to find the book in other libraries.....might be worth
checking out. Good luck!

‌Mary M. and John H. were married in a religious ceremony about 1757 in VA.1 They had six sons and two daughters, named William M., Joel, John, Jr., Wiley W., Richmond Monroe, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Mary Polly.
