Henry Dawson, Jr. was born about 1801 in NC.1 Henry Dawson, Jr.'s father was Henry Dawson Castellaw. His paternal grandparents were John Castellaw and Margaret Dawson. He was an only child. He died before December 15th, 1855 in Haywood Co., TN.1 General Notes

North Carolina Marriages 1741 - 1868. Henry Dawson had an inventory of
his estate, page 31. This proves his death date. He was a farmer. Henry
deeded a small tract of land to John H. Cobb in May 1839. Thomas J. and
Bart Castellaw witnessed the deed (IJ-202). He bought a farm in ripley,
TN in 1855
Washington Co., NC Deed Book G, page 816 shows that Henry D. and Sally
Castellaw of Haywood Co., TN appoints Simeon Spruill to settle the
account of Hezekiah Spruill, deceased. The money was in the hand of
Ephriam Mann.
