Isabella was born in 1292 in France.  Isabella's father was Philippe IV the Fair Capet King of France and her mother was Joan (Juana) I de Navarre Queen of Navarre.  Her paternal grandparents were Philippe III the Bold le Hardi King of France and Isabel de AragUn; her maternal grandparents were Henri I the Fat de Troyes King of Navarre and Blanche Capet de Artois. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Louis X the Headstrong, Philippe V the Tall, Charles IV the Fair, Robert, Marguerite and Blanche.  She was the third youngest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 66 on August 22nd, 1358 in Hertford Castle, Hertford, England.


Isabella's first family with Edward II of Caernarvon King of England

‌Isabella and Edward II of Caernarvon were married in a religious ceremony in Boulogne, France.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Edward III Plantagenet, John of Eltham Plantagenet, Eleanor and Joanna.
