Eleanor (Margaret) was born in 1262 in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.  Eleanor (Margaret)'s father was Sir William de Fiennes II Ct de Fiennes and her mother was Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Enguerran de Fiennes II Lord Martock and Isabel de CondE; her maternal grandparents were Simon de Dammartin II de Aum,le Ct de Aum,le and Marie (Jeanne) de Ponthieu Cts de Ponthieu. She had six half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, John, Fernando de Castile, Luis de Castile, Juan de Castile, Simon, Joanna and Eleanora de Castile.


Eleanor (Margaret)'s family with Sir Edmund de Mortimer Baron Wigmore

‌Eleanor (Margaret) and Sir Edmund de Mortimer were married in a religious ceremony in 1285.  They had five sons and four daughters, named Sir Roger de Mortimer, Hugh, Walter, Edmund, John, Matilda, Joan, Elizabeth and Margaret.
