Otto I "The Great" Holy Roman was born on November 23rd, 0912 in Saxony, Germany.  Otto I "The Great" Holy Roman's father was Heinrich I "The Fowler" Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Matilda , Countess of Ringelheim Von Ringelheim.  His paternal grandfather was Otto "The Illustrious" Duke of Saxony; his maternal grandparents were Dietrich (Theoderich) Count of Saxon Hamalant and Reginhilde von Friesland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Henrich II (I) Duke of (Bavaria), Bruno I Archbishop of, Abbess of Notre Dame and Hedwige (Hartwige) Princess of The.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 on May 7th, 0973 in Membleben, Saxony, Germany.
