Benedict De Clare

Benedict was born in 1254. Benedict's father was Richard I De Clare Earl of Gloucester and his mother was Maud De Lacy Countess de Lincoln. His maternal grandparents were John De Lacy Earl of Lincoln and Margaret De Quincy. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Gilbert the Red De Clare III Earl of, Thomas De Clare Lord of, Bogo, Isabel, Rohese and Eglentina. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 41 in 1295.
