David Zike 
David was born on March 30th, 1815 in Jessamine County, Kentucky. David's father was John Zike and his mother was Susannah Smith. His paternal grandparents were Jacob "Zeuch" Zike and Katherine Lucinda Avey. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Jacob, James, Henry, John, William, Isaac, Mary Ann, Matilda and Hester Ann. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on June 4th, 1894 in Cumberland County, Illinois.-
