Susannah Shields

Susannah was born in April 1848 in Monroe County, Indiana.  Susannah's father was John Shields and her mother was Eliza Jane Blakely.  Her paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Blakely and Elizabeth McFall. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Frank P., John F., Mary E., Rebecca M., Eliza J., Anna, Elizabeth and Catherine "Katie".  She was the fourth youngest of the ten children.
