Anna Shields

Anna was born on February 6th, 1847 in Monroe County, Indiana.  Anna's father was John Shields and her mother was Eliza Jane Blakely.  Her paternal grandparents were William L., Sr. Shields and Nancy Elizabeth Nash; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Blakely and Elizabeth McFall. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Frank P., John F., Mary E., Rebecca M., Eliza J., Susannah, Elizabeth and Catherine "Katie".  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 72 on October 17th, 1919 in Perry Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.  She was buried on October 19th, 1919 in Rosehill Cemetery, Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana.
