Edward, Jr Masterson 
Edward, Jr was born about 1730 in Fairfax Co., Virginia. Edward, Jr's father was Edward, Sr. Masterson and his mother was Mary Lindsay. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Thomas, Richard, William, Robert, Mary Lindsay, Sarah and Elizabeth. He died on April 29th, 1790 in Wayne Co., North Carolina.General Notes
Edward was a trooper in the French & Indiana War, 1755-56. The "House of
Delegates Journal" 1770-80 says he went in defence of people in outlying
Virginia. "Also said to have served in the N.C. Militia-Court martial
papers: Johnston Co., Nc. 1777.
Virginia's Colonial Soldiers-by Lloyd Dewitt Buckstuck P. 161-Edward
Masterson for 30 days service in Militia paid 300# tobacco.
He moved to Dobbs County, N.C. and died in Wayne County, N.C., prior to a
court order for distribution of his estate, April 20, 1790.

Marriage: Birth of son James. May have been married twice (Large age
spread in his children.)

Edward, Jr and Mary were married in a religious ceremony before 1752 in Fairfax Co., Virginia. They had four sons and seven daughters, named James, Caleb, William, Lazarus, Mary, Leah, Leannah, Sarah "Sally", Winnifred "Winney", Delilah and Jane.

Sarah "Sally" Masterson
Sarah "Sally" was born about 1765 in Dobbs Co., North Carolina. She died before 1820 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky.
Winnifred "Winney" Masterson
Winnifred "Winney" was born about 1773 in North Carolina. She died after 1797 in Lincoln Co., Kentucky.
Delilah Masterson
Delilah was born on November 27th, 1775 in Cape Fear River, Charlotte Co., North Carolina. She died at the age of 66 on December 18th, 1841 in Lexington, Fayette Co., Kentucky. She was buried in Wymore-Downing Cemetery, outside Lexington, Kentucky.
William Masterson
William was born on April 5th, 1778 in NC. He died at the age of 80 on November 19th, 1858 in Pulaski, Kentucky. He was buried in Pulaski, Lincoln Co., Kentucky.
Lazarus Masterson
Lazarus was born on February 22nd, 1782 in North Carolina. He died at the age of 77 on September 24th, 1859 in Lafayette Co., Missouri. He was buried in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Missouri.
