Deborah was born on February 7th, 1688 in East Greenwich,,RI. Deborah's father was Thomas Nichols and her mother was Mercy Reynolds. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Nichols and Hannah Griffin; her maternal grandparents were James Reynolds and Deborah Jordan. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named James, Thomas Jr., Benjamin, Hannah, Mercy, Susannah, Mary, Elizabeth, Frances and Comfort.
