John Crichton

John was born on August 20th, 1727 in Balewirie,Markinch,Fifeshire,Scotland.  John's father was George Crichton and his mother was Janet Campbell.  His paternal grandparents were David Crichton and Anna Forbes; his maternal grandparents were Archibald Campbell and Issobell Pitcairn. He had two brothers and a sister, named James, George and Helen.  He was the oldest of the four children.
