Celia was born on March 15th, 1768. Celia's father was James Beall and her mother was Elizabeth Edmonston. Her paternal grandparents were James Beall and Mary Ann Edmonston; her maternal grandparents were Archibald Edmonston and Dorothy Brooke. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Alexander Edmonston, James Brooke, Archibald Allen, Robert Asa, Thomas Crampton, Basil Musgrove, Zebedee, James, Dorothy Brooke, Elizabeth Brooke and Mary. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children.-
