Sarah Kate Winfrey

Sarah Kate was born on December 5th, 1847 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  Sarah Kate's father was Holmes Warren Winfrey and her mother was Lucinda Elkins.  Her maternal grandfather was Shaner Elkins. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James Hardin, John Johnson, William L., Hal Gillespie, Henry, Beersheba and Sidney.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 48 on December 15th, 1895.
