Beersheba Winfrey 
Beersheba was born in November 1844 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Beersheba's father was Holmes Warren Winfrey and her mother was Lucinda Elkins. Her maternal grandfather was Shaner Elkins. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James Hardin, John Johnson, William L., Hal Gillespie, Henry, Sarah Kate and Sidney. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
