Temperance Whitehead 
Temperance was born in 1748 in Of, Halifax, NC. Temperance's father was William Whitehead Jr. and her mother was Abby. Her paternal grandparents were William Whitehead and Rachel Lewis McKinnie. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, Lewis, Cullen, Jacob, Martha, Rachel, Rebecca, Sarah and Priscilla.
