Thomas Shoemaker 
Thomas was born in 1814 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Thomas' father was Daniel Jacob Shoemaker and his mother was Jane Harris. His paternal grandfather was John Shoemaker. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, William and Margaret. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named James, Elizabeth, Winifred, Nancy, Jane and Mary.
