William Shell 
William was born in 1843 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. William's father was William Riley Shell and his mother was Cordelia Naff. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Shell and Winifred Boy. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Robert Sydney, James, Fanny and Kitty. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 44 in 1887.-
