James Shell 
James was born in 1880 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. James' father was William Riley Shell and his mother was Cordelia Naff. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Shell and Winifred Boy. He had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Robert Sydney, Fanny and Kitty. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 70 in 1950.-
