Susan Or Susannah was born in 1797 in Fincastle, Botecourt, Virginia. Susan Or Susannah's father was Henry Price and her mother was Catherine Wax. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Wax and Margaret Geschwind. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Henry, George, Jacob, Katherine, Hannah, Elizabeth and Mary. She died at the age of 57 in 1854 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
