Walter Payne 
Walter was born in 1889 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Walter's father was Mack Mccarty Payne and his mother was Annie Brooks. His paternal grandparents were William Latham Payne and Letha Whitson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brooks and Mary Gladson. He had three brothers named Carl, Onessis Eugene and John Reed. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 89 in 1978.-
