John Reed Payne 
John Reed was born in 1891 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John Reed's father was Mack Mccarty Payne and his mother was Annie Brooks. His paternal grandparents were William Latham Payne and Letha Whitson; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brooks and Mary Gladson. He had three brothers named Carl, Onessis Eugene and Walter. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 82 in 1973.-
