Pheriby Jane Monroe 
Pheriby Jane was born in 1857 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Pheriby Jane's father was Madison J. Monroe and her mother was Rebecca Davis. Her paternal grandparents were Asa Monroe and Sarah. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named James J., Robert H., William Harvey, Eliza Ellen, Sarah Caroline, Mary Emaline, Lydia, Martha Adeline, Mariah Tennessee and Rebecca Elizabeth. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
