Preston Lawson 
Preston was born in 1797 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Preston's father was William Lawson and his mother was Sarah Hinton. His paternal grandparents were Bartholomew Lawson and Susannah Simkins; his maternal grandparents were William Robert Hinton and Mary Patton. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, Isham, Elijah, Stephen, Elisha, George Washington, Hinton, Wiley, Mary Or Polly and Anna. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 76 in 1873 in Persia, Hawkins, Tennessee.-
