Moorman Lawson 
Moorman was born in January 1751 in , Bedford, Virginia. Moorman's father was Bartholomew Lawson and his mother was Susannah Simkins. His paternal grandparents were William Lawson and Isabel Kenney; his maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had ten brothers named David, Randolph, William, John, Elisha, Peter, Philip, Bartholomew, Jacob and Reuben. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 91 on September 16th, 1842 in Hancock Co., TN.-
