Edgar Kite 
Edgar was born in 1831 in Virginia. Edgar's father was Noah Kite and his mother was Isabella Perkey Kite. His paternal grandparents were George Kite and Elizabeth Long; his maternal grandparents were Jacob C. Kite and Catherine Slagel. He had ten brothers and seven sisters, named Erasmus, George, Oliver, Henry, Benjamin M., John, Harvey, Lewis Wolford, Allen W., Ashby, Eleanora, Eudora, Caroline, Belzonia, Victoria, Eleanora and Amanda V.. He was the oldest of the eighteen children.-
