Robert was born about 1503 in Middleton, Warwickshire, England. Robert's father was John Greisbrooke and his mother was Isabel. His paternal grandfather was John De Gresbroke. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Avery, John, Hugh, Henry, Margaret and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the seven children.-
