Mary was born in 1827 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.  Mary's father was John Geisler.  Her paternal grandparents were John Adam Geisler and Anna Kuny. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Jacob S., Noah, Ann, Susan and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the seven children.  Mary is no longer alive.
