John was born in 1800 in Pennsylvania.  John's father was John Geisler.  His paternal grandparents were John Adam Geisler and Anna Kuny. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Jacob S., Noah, Ann, Susan, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  John is no longer alive.
