Elizabeth was born on September 24th, 1801 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Elizabeth's father was James Charles and her mother was Dorcas Miller. Her paternal grandparents were James J. Charles and Tabitha Senter; her maternal grandparents were Peter Miller and Sibyl Pitzer. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Jacob Miller, Clinton Armstrong, Wylie B., John Pitzer, Nancy, Mary and Tabitha L.. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 75 on May 7th, 1877 in Grundy Co., MO.-
