Lafayette Chaney 
Lafayette was born in 1868 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Lafayette's father was N. Jefferson Chaney and his mother was Malinda Jane Bondurant. His maternal grandparents were John William Bondurant and Esther Flannigan. He had a brother and a sister, named John H. and Effie. He was the second oldest of the three children.
