Sarah Ann Brantley 
Sarah Ann was born about 1774 in Halifax, NC. Sarah Ann's father was Lewis Brantley and her mother was Martha. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Brantley and Martha Pitman. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Henry Lewis, Benjamin Johnson, Charity, Mary Pitman, Dolly and Elizabeth. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
