Abraham Blessing 
Abraham was born about 1799 in Shenandoah County, Virginia. Abraham's father was Lewis Blessing and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Bartsherrer. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Blessing and Elizabeth Ritschart. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Jacob, Mary and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the five children.-
