Mortimer Allen

Mortimer was born in 1833 in , Bourbon, Kentucky.  Mortimer's father was Benjamin Allen and his mother was Margaret.  His paternal grandfather was Allen. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William, James, Elijah, John, Elizabeth and Frances.  He was the oldest of the seven children.
