John Allen

John was born in 1848 in , Bourbon, Kentucky.  John's father was Benjamin Allen and his mother was Margaret.  His paternal grandfather was Allen. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Mortimer, William, James, Elijah, Elizabeth and Frances.  He was the youngest of the seven children.
