Mary Catherine Akard 
Mary Catherine was born on November 12th, 1879 in , Sullivan, Tennessee. Mary Catherine's father was Eldridge Otto Akard and her mother was Susan A. Knight. Her maternal grandparents were Ephraim Goldsmith Knight and Mary Jane Norman. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Joseph William, Frank G. W., Claude Eldridge, Minnie and Sarah M.. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 39 on December 12th, 1918.-
