Christian was born in 1808 in Randolph Co., NC. Christian's father was Peter Christian STALEY and his mother was Mary Magdaline SMITH. His paternal grandparents were Martin STALEY and Charity MORETZ. He had four brothers and a sister, named Henry , John William , George , Peter and Margaret . He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 87 on July 2nd, 1895 in Marion Co., IN .General Notes
