Peter Christian was born in 1773 in Randolph Co., NC. Peter Christian 's father was Martin STALEY and his mother was Charity MORETZ. His paternal grandparents were Johannes Ulrich STALEY and Anna Maria GERMANN ; his maternal grandparents were John I MORETZ and Margaret NIN. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John Christian, Conrad , Martin Elder , Abraham "Abram" , Mary , Betsy and Molly . He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 44 in 1817 in Randolph Co., NC.General Notes
