Aaron DOAN 
Aaron was born in 1754 in Plumstead, Bucks Co., PA. Aaron's father was Joseph DOAN and his mother was Hester VICKERS. His paternal grandparents were Isreal DOAN and Ester Dillon; his maternal grandparents were Abraham VICKERS and Mary FRANCE. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Moses , Levi , Mahlon (Malone), Thomas , Joseph (II) , Mary (Polly), Betsy and Hester. He died at the age of 90 on August 2nd, 1844 in Humberstone, Welland Co., Ontario, Canada .General Notes

In August, 1784, Aaron Doane was captured in Baltimore. Although tried and convicted to hang, a complex legal manoeuvre freed him. For a time Aaron then disassociated himself from criminal activity, but he was apparently a slow learner. In 1789 we was arrested again, this time in New Jersey, where he was charged with burglary. During his trial, incredibly he managed to simply saunter out of the courtroom one day and then promptly fled to Canada, a country that was to be his home for the rest of his life.
It is believed that Aaron stayed close by and was interred at Humberstone.
