Margaret was born about 1218 in of Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 Margaret's father was Roger de Quincy Earl of Winchester and her mother was Helen MacDonald. Her paternal grandparents were Saher de Quincy IV Earl of Winchester and Margaret de Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Alan MacDonald de Galloway Lord Galloway and Ragnhild (Hilda) of the Isles. She had two sisters named Helen (Elene) and Elizabeth.1 -
