Matilda (Maud) was born in 1072 in Huntington, Huntdingdonshire, England.1   Matilda (Maud)'s father was Waltheof II of Huntington Earl of Huntington and her mother was Judith de Lens.  Her paternal grandparents were Ealred (Siward) Earl of Northumbria and AEfflaed of Bernicia; her maternal grandparents were Lambert de Lens Ct de Lens and Adeliza de Normandy Cts de Aumâle. She had a sister named Judith (Alice).  She died at the age of 59 in 1131 in Scone, Perths, Scotland.1
