John Dow 
John was born in 1766 in Coventry, Tolland, CT.1 John's father was Pelatiah Dow and his mother was Catherine Rose. His paternal grandparents were Ephraim Dow and Elizabeth Clark. He had a brother and six sisters, named Sanford, Mabel, Elizabeth, Jane, Hannah, Margery and Clarinda. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
