Hugh de Lusignan was born in 1220 in of Lusignan, Vienne, France.1 Hugh de Lusignan's father was Hugh de la Marche X le Brun Ct de la Marche and his mother was Isabella Taillefer. His paternal grandparents were Hugh de Lusignan IX Ct de la Marche and Mathilde Taillefer de Angoulême; his maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer de Valence Ct de Angoulême and Alice de Courtenay. He had a brother and a sister, named William de Valence and Alice Brun. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry III, Richard Angevin, Joan, Isabella Eliz and Alianor. He died in Egypt.1 -
