Darius was born in 1726 in , Cape May, NJ.1 Darius' father was Peter Corson and his mother was Rachel Garretson. His paternal grandparents were Peter Corson and Deborah Townsend. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Benajah, Remington, Peter, Levi, Jesse, Zabiah, Rebecca, Rachel, Elizabeth and Deborah. He was the third oldest of the eleven children.-
