Peter was born in 1660 in Gravesend, Kings, NY.1   Peter's father was Carsten Jansen and his mother was Barbara Unknown. He had a brother named Jan Karsten.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died before April 1731 in Upper Precinct, Cape May, NJ.1
