James Blair

James was born on July 30th, 1766 in Onslow, Colchester County, Nova Scotia.¹ James' father was William Blair and his mother was Jane Barnes. His paternal grandparents were Robert Blair and Isabel Rankin; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Barnes and Martha. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William, John, Susan, Sarah, Hannah, Dorothy, Rebecca and Elizabeth. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 91 on November 13th, 1857.¹
