James Blair

James was born in 1718 in Blair, Athall, Perth, Scotland.¹ James' father was Robert Blair and his mother was Isabel Rankin. His paternal grandfather was Robert Blair and his paternal grandmother is <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were David Rankin and <Unknown>. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Matthew, David, John, William, Francis, Robert, Joseph, Dolly, Sarah, Dorothy, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the eighth oldest of the thirteen children.
