Abraham was born on December 19th, 1786 in Monongalia co. West Virginia.  Abraham's father was Richard Tennant and his mother was Elizabeth Haught.  His paternal grandfather was Richard Tennant and his paternal grandmother is Janet Wark. He had eight brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Richard II, William, Alexander, Joseph S., Adam, John, Jacob Aron, Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret Ann, Catherine and Sarah Catherine.  He died at the age of 89 on December 19th, 1875 in Monongalia co. West Virginia.
