Mary was born in 1796 in Trimley St. Mary,Suffolk and her baptism took place there on November 28th, 1796.1   Mary's father was Robert Topple and her mother was Martha Cook.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Cook and Elizabeth Howchin. She had three brothers and a sister, named Robert, John, George and Sarah.  She was the third oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Samuel, Isaac, Henry, Lydia and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 14 on April 16th, 1810 in Trimley St. Mary,Suffolk.1
